Beasts of Prey.

The story, ‘Beasts of Prey’, is meant as a response to J.M. Coetzee’s ‘Lives of Animals’. It is not meant to be anti-vegan or anti-vegetarian, I am an (occasionally successful) vegetarian and by no means criticize the lifestyle. It is instead an attempt to discuss what else needs to talked about, and done, when discussing the lives of animals beyond ‘stopping cruelty’ or simply a removal of harm. These things are important, but how do they connect to fulfilling animal lives? How might this route of conversation ignore important aspects of animals’ well-being? This story is available, [here], and, while never having intended to publish it, I would love to get feedback. (Contact me)
